Dust
House cleaning can be a bit of a chore for some people. We have extremely busy lives and wish things would sometimes take care of themselves. Our home should be one of those sanctuaries were we come home to relax. Sometimes it seems no mater what we do it is hard to maintain our house to the level that we would like.
An interesting fact though; maybe a little on the icky side of things, deals with the dust levels in our house. Most people myself included thought that the dust accumulated in ones home came from the outside (like dirt particles). In fact a large portion of the grey dust we find is made up of human skin, approximately 70%. Apparently a person loses about half a pound of skin a year.
These dust facts unfortunately lead to another reason to keep up on your dusting and that is dust mite allergies. Dust mites are tiny bugs that feed off of dead skin. People with this allergy display symptoms that are close to that of hay fever, such as sneezing, runny nose and signs of asthma.
Our air quality is our home can be greatly increased by doing a full dusting. This includes dusting things like our walls, behind couches and under our beds. We recommend that this be done every couple of months.
